Dr. Andreka F. Peat is a licensed clinical psychologist and 200-hour registered yoga teacher with a private practice in downtown Decatur, GA. In her practice she specializes in providing a holistic approach to Women’s Mental and Reproductive Health. Her practice focuses on working with fertility concerns, miscarriage and perinatal loss, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, birth trauma, relationship concerns, and other mood disorders. Dr. Peat has 14 years of clinical experience in both private practice and university counseling settings. She received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Atlanta Georgia. Her Doctoral Internship was completed at the Dallas Consortium in Professional Psychology in Dallas, TX, which was comprised of the counseling centers at Southern Methodist University and The University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to engaging in her doctoral studies, she received her Masters of Public Health Degree with a Maternal and Child Health concentration from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Xavier University of LA also in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Peat currently lives in the Atlanta area with her husband, two children, and their family dog. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
